Rhymer Puzzles use rhymes or puns/homonyms to connect the two words.
For example:Listen up; right on the spot
Listen up = Hear - right on the spot = here - this is a pun or homonym linking
For rhyme we have this example: anti-white; pom-pom gun
anti-white = black - pom-pom gun = flak

As always the first letter of each word spells out downward the overall puzzle solution;
and the second clue is entered into the form.

Finished; demand debtor payment
French liquid; in the middle of not high
Look over the top; at the topmost
Hole in the dyke; every one
Not me; hardy tree
