This Jumbalai puzzle is inspired by the bird song that indicates Spring has Sprung despite all the snow. Shivering outside, the birds have raised their songs an octave - so I suspect you will do so in our Bird solution and jumbled word puzzle.
Jumbalai Puzzles work with anagrams of words or phrases that have to be unscrambled to get their meaning. But Jumbalai puzzles have spice or bite in two additional ways for puzzlers:
1)There maybe more than two anagrams possible with the letters provided;
2)the word may contain one or more embedded, single-digit number in any of the following languages - English, French, German, Italian, Latin, or Spanish.
For example: “leettsr” => becomes “trestle” (not “letters”) and tres indicates the third letter, “e” is the one to use in the downward puzzle. If there is no number in the word or it goes beyond the words length- then just use the starting letter.
As always the first letter of each word spells out downward the overall puzzle solution;
and the answer to the second clue is entered into the form.
DOWNWARD PUZZLE:Gulp, that bird was fast and flighty.
